Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Otega, has been evicted from the reality TV show, just weeks after securing immunity in the house.
His shocking exit follows last Sunday’s evictions of Ibifubara and Danboskid, who were the first and second housemates to leave the show, respectively.
It will be recalled that fellow housemate, Sabrina, also exited the competition on Monday due to medical reasons.
Otega’s eviction further narrows the race for the coveted ₦150 million grand prize, as the number of housemates in the competition continues to shrink.
Rodrigo Muniz struck deep into stoppage time to earn Fulham a dramatic 1-1 draw against Brighton in their Premier League season opener.
The Brazilian forward fired home from close range in the 96th minute after Harry Wilson’s corner, stunning the Amex crowd and rescuing a point for Marco Silva’s men.
Brighton had taken the lead just before the hour mark when former Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley converted from the penalty spot after Georginio Rutter was fouled by Sander Berge.
The Seagulls looked the more likely side for much of the contest, with Kaoru Mitoma heading narrowly over in the first half, while captain Lewis Dunk and Yasin Ayari both came close to extending the lead after O’Riley’s opener.
Fulham, however, remained resilient and were rewarded in the dying moments when Muniz pounced, ensuring they left the south coast with a valuable point.
There was also an encouraging display from 18-year-old midfielder Josh King, who caused Brighton problems early on and had a penalty appeal denied following a VAR review.
Sunderland enjoyed a dream return to the Premier League after eight years away, defeating West Ham United 3-0 in front of a jubilant home crowd at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats, back in the top flight for the first time since the 2016/17 season, produced a commanding second-half performance to seal all three points in their opening game.
Eliezer Mayenda, the hero of May’s Championship play-off final, opened the scoring just after the hour mark, nodding in Omar Alderete’s cross to send the stadium into raptures.
Defender Dan Ballard, another play-off standout, doubled Sunderland’s lead with a precise header before Wilson Isidor struck late in added time to round off a memorable afternoon.
The match had begun with both sides testing each other in a lively first half. Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs denied Jarrod Bowen from close range, while West Ham’s debutant keeper Mads Hermansen tipped over a powerful drive from Habib Diarra. Ballard also came to Sunderland’s rescue with a superb sliding clearance to stop Malick Diouf’s goal-bound effort.
But after the break, Sunderland grew in confidence as West Ham’s attack faltered. Mayenda’s breakthrough set the tone, Ballard’s header secured breathing room, and Isidor’s composed finish in stoppage time completed a statement victory for Regis Le Bris’ men.
The Stadium of Light roared throughout the encounter, and fans celebrated a triumphant return to the Premier League in style.
Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has strongly criticised the Dangote Group over its handling of the recent accident involving her sister, Ruth Otabor.
Ruth sustained severe injuries in a truck accident near Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, on August 13, 2025, which led to the amputation of her leg.
In a social media post, Phyna accused Dangote Group staff of visiting her sister at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital without seeking family consent to take photographs, alleging that the images were later shared publicly.
“Who gave you permission to snap any member of my family and post it online? What disrespect. You send staff members to the hospital today and decide to turn it into content? I just pray this kind of picture didn’t happen with my sister,” she wrote.
The reality TV star also questioned the company’s choice of words in its official statement, particularly referring to her sister as “Mrs. Ruth Otabor,” asking what “narrative” they intended to create.
Phyna further demanded that cameras be prohibited in any future meetings or discussions related to the matter, stressing the need for privacy and respect. She also criticised the company’s promise of “appropriate compensation” and a “quick recovery,” pointing out that her sister had already lost a leg and that the bike rider involved in the accident was also in critical condition.
The Dangote Group had earlier confirmed its involvement in the accident, pledging comprehensive medical care and compensation for Ruth, in line with its welfare policy.
The incident has continued to spark public outrage, with celebrities and fans joining Phyna in demanding justice and accountability.

The Big Brother Naija Season 10 house was thrown into fresh drama on Tuesday as Big Brother handed out heavy sanctions to three contestants for violating house rules.
Sultana was issued a one-week alcohol ban, which will also apply during the upcoming Saturday night party, after she urinated in fellow housemate Dede’s clothing box, behaviour Big Brother described as “unacceptable.”
Kuture received a final warning for violent conduct after threatening to disfigure fellow housemate Faith during a heated argument over cigarettes. Big Brother cautioned that any further misconduct could lead to his immediate removal from the show.
Bright Morgan was hit with a double strike for misconduct toward Faith. Under the show’s regulations, any housemate who accumulates three strikes faces automatic disqualification, meaning Bright is now just one offence away from being evicted.
The punishments come in a tense week marked by repeated clashes, disrespect, and property damage inside the house.
All housemates remain up for possible eviction this week except Head of House Tracy, Most Influential Player Rooboy, and Kuture, who was saved by Tracy during the Tree of Trinkets twist. Tracy retained her HoH title after winning on Sunday, while Rooboy earned immunity through a housemate vote.
Tensions in the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house heightened on Tuesday after housemate Bright Morgan was issued a Double Strike for violating section 15, sub-section 1 of the show’s Rule Book, which prohibits all forms of physical violence.
The rule, as outlined by Big Brother, covers self-inflicted harm, physical attacks on fellow housemates, as well as acts of provocation, bullying, goading, and victimisation.
With the latest punishment, Bright Morgan now faces possible automatic disqualification if he receives one more strike before the season ends.
In other disciplinary rulings, Sultanna was slapped with a one-week alcohol ban after urinating on fellow housemate Dede’s box and on Biggie’s floor — behaviour Big Brother labelled “unacceptable.”
Kuture also received a final warning for misconduct, with Big Brother cautioning that any further breach could result in harsher sanctions.
The disciplinary actions have ignited heated discussions among fans, with many questioning both the housemates’ conduct and Big Brother’s approach to maintaining order this season.
The Nigeria Police Force on Monday announced an extension of the grace period for enforcing the Tinted Glass Permit requirement for vehicles with tinted windows, moving the new enforcement date to October 2, 2025.
Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, approved the extension following a surge in applications through the official portal.
Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement that the decision was influenced by the growing compliance of motorists.
“This decision follows a significant increase in applications via the official platform, showing heightened public compliance. The extra time will allow thorough scrutiny of each application to ensure permits go only to qualified individuals, in line with national security considerations,” Adejobi explained.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain tinted glass permit
To get started, applicants must go to the Police Specialized Services Automation Project (POSSAP) portal at www.possap.gov.ng. They’ll need to sign up using either their National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), or Tax Identification Number (TIN).
Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Tracy, has etched her name in the show’s history books, becoming the first female contestant to successfully defend the Head of House (HOH) title.
Tracy first claimed the crown on Sunday night, selecting Kuture as her House Guest. However, her reign was immediately put to the test during Monday’s HOH challenge.
In a tense battle against Ivatar, Thelma Lawson, Dede, Joanna, and Kuture, Tracy held her composure and showcased skill to clinch victory once again, securing another week of immunity, privileges, and strategic influence in the house.
This achievement comes after a dramatic 48 hours in the BBNaija house. On Sunday, Danboskid and Ibifubara were evicted, reducing the contestants from 29 to 27. By Monday, Sabrina exited the competition over medical reasons, bringing the number of housemates down to 26.
The stakes remain high as the remaining contestants vie for the ₦150 million grand prize.
