Manchester City have reportedly completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez for a British-record transfer fee of £125 million.
Fernandez’s move to City comes after Chelsea agreed a deal that would see the Argentina international leave Stamford Bridge following three-and-a-half years at the club.
The reported £125 million fee matches the amount Liverpool paid for Swedish striker Alexander Isak last summer.
Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2023 for a then-British record £107 million fee after helping Argentina win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Manchester City had reportedly identified the 25-year-old midfielder as a key target during the transfer window and have now reached an agreement to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.
Fernandez is expected to undergo a medical before completing the formalities of his move and signing a long-term contract with the Premier League champions.
The transfer, if completed as reported, would represent another major investment by City and make Fernandez one of the most expensive players in football history.
