Popular Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has raised concerns about challenges within the Nollywood, describing the industry as being plagued by individuals he termed “saboteurs.”
Speaking during an interview with BBC, the actor said he would remove such individuals from the industry if given the opportunity, noting that their actions continue to hinder progress.
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry.
“The industry is full of saboteurs.
“They can’t help themselves.
“They need therapy,” he said.
Iyke also reflected on his career, sharing a personal moment that stands out as his proudest achievement. According to him, receiving commendation from his son over his acting career left him deeply emotional and proud.
