The Nigeria’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), on Sunday, July 28, premiered the BBNaija season 9.

BBNaija season eight ran for 24 hours on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49, and it aired starting at 7 p.m. on the Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family channels.

This season which is holding in the usual location after the All-Stars season, is packed with different twists.

On Sunday, media star Ebuka Obi-Uchendu made his comeback to hosting the program for eight seasons running.
Ebuka who is responsible for keeping fans on suspense during the weekly live eviction show, has been the hosts of every season of the show except the season 1 which he participated as a contestant.

He revealed the theme during the Sunday opening event while showing guests around the house. 

He said that because it is a season of Double Housemates, it makes the House the largest in the history of the program.

Ebuka revealed that the theme of this season is “No Loose Guard.” noting that it is a duo season.

The 28 Housemates who are in 14 pairs, made their way inside the house contesting for the sum of N100 million and an SUV. 
The season nine will also retain its voting style from last year.

Only active subscribers will be able to cast their votes on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.

Some of the reality show viewers and admirers have complained that they are unable to see the program on GOTV.
